We do not like to carry out any visit under 30 minutes. However we do have what we call micro visits, these are a 5 minute telephone call, whats app video call or a zoom call can be made to the service user to encourage them to take their medication, to remind them to make lunch or dinner or to have a general wellbeing chat. These mirco visits are scheduled at specific times agreed with the individual on the days required. They often give peace of mind to relatives and loved ones without the intrusiveness of actually having a care worker visit in person.
Yes. All care and support is person centred, part of this includes receiving care and support at your desired time.
We understand that sometimes care is needed urgently, especially following a hospital discharge. Once you contact us, we aim to conduct a home assessment within 24–48 hours. After the assessment and a safety review of the home environment, care can often commence shortly after once all care plans and risk assessments are in place. This usually takes 24 hours to complete.
A member of our senior team will visit you at home or hospital. This is a friendly, no-obligation chat to understand your routines, preferences, and health needs. We use this to build a person-centred care plan that ensures we support independence while managing risks.
All our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment process, including Enhanced DBS checks and professional references. They complete the Care Certificate, online learning and receive ongoing specialist training in areas such as Dementia Care, Safeguarding, and Moving & Handling to ensure they meet our high standards and our ethos of being "committed to quality."
Yes. Our staff are trained to support with medication, ranging from simple verbal prompts to administering medication from blister packs and original boxes. All medication support is recorded accurately in our digital logs for oversight.
For safety reasons our staff are unable to administer medicines from dossett boxes pre prepared by the individual or family or friends. The medication must either be in original boxes or in a blister pack prepared by the nominated pharmacy.
We are highly experienced and trained in supporting individuals with complex needs. For example, for service users who are deaf or have dementia, we ensure our staff use clear communication techniques, such as face-to-face positioning for lip-reading and simple hand gestures to assist with instructions during all tasks.
Because we work in the community, traffic or emergencies can sometimes cause minor delays. However, we operate a log in and log out system, this means when care workers arrive at each visit they must log in using their mobile phone and then log out again when the visit is complete, this logs the visit in real time on our rota system. Our Field Care Supervisors monitor our rotas constantly in real time. If a carer is delayed, our office or on-call team will contact you to keep you informed so you are never left wondering.
Our policy states we are allowed 1 hour each way of your scheduled visit times, however if your visit time is needing to be moved for any specific reason you will be notified. Our policy also states, if a care worker is running 15 minutes late they must notify the office or on-call or yourself directly.
Yes, we work with both private-paying clients and those receiving direct payments via the local authority. We can talk you through how the billing works during our initial assessment.
In line with industry standards, visits on Bank Holidays (such as Christmas or Easter) are typically charged at a higher rate (often double time) to ensure we can fairly compensate our hardworking staff who give up their holidays to provide care.
Most certainly.

- Shopping (For or with the service user)
- Companionship
- Chaperoning (escorting to appointments, hairdressers, clubs, church etc)
- Light domestic duties (we aren't able to move furniture)
- Waking and Sleeping nigh sits
Typically, these visits are separate to the personal care visits and are charged differently.
