Penny studied broadcast journalism at Staffordshire University in 2007and then gained broadcast experience at the BBC. In 2008, she began her career in the communications and marketing field for the NHS. Today, Penny leads the digital communications strategy for a commissioning organisation including website and social media management, video production, and campaign marketing. In 2022, Penny achieved a distinction in her master’s degree in digital marketing leadership at the University of Aberdeen. She uses these skills and 15 years’ experience in a busy communications and marketing team to help small business improve their online presence.
She is married to Mark and has two fantastic boys – sometimes they appear in social media content sharing tips and tactics for others. As a family they love exploring outdoors, visiting family and taking trips to the cinema. Penny enjoys exercising and volunteers at her local Scout Group helping children and young people learn new skills.
