Burntwood Business: Hello, Danielle, thank you so much for joining us, We know you’re very busy, so it is very much appreciated. So, your salon, or should we say Pooch Parlour? Anyway, Dazzling DogZ has a rather unique name. Could you tell us the story behind it?
Danielle Grace: “Hello, and thank you for having me. I chose the name Dazzling DogZ because it’s catchy and epitomises our commitment to making every dog look their absolute best – shiny and splendid when they leave our salon. I also wanted a name that would really stand out in Burntwood.”
Burntwood Business: Yes, we have to say that emphasizing the Z in the name helps people, including us, find you online. What sets Dazzling DogZ apart from other dog grooming salons in the Burntwood area?
Danielle Grace: “Dazzling DogZ is all about one-to-one attention. We’re a cosy, small salon with a secure garden, and we don’t use cages. This approach allows us to build trust and give each dog the full attention they need. We also offer treats and fresh water throughout the grooming process, with the owner’s permission, of course.”
Burntwood Business: Do you cater to all types of dogs, regardless of breed or hair type?
Danielle Grace: “Yes, of course, we love all dogs, we welcome all and love to meet all the different types and pedigree, provided they are friendly and well-behaved of course, regardless of their breed or hair type, we also like to get to know the owners too, you can tell that they love their four legged friends .”
Burntwood Business: Your salon seems ideal for nervous dogs or those not keen on socialising. Could you expand on this?
Danielle Grace: “Definitely. Our salon is particularly suitable for nervous dogs or those who prefer not to socialise, as we only have one dog at a time unless they come from the same family. We offer personalised services including before and after photos, and video updates for owners who might be anxious. We also provide additional services such as dog facials, walks, and stay-overs for when owners are away.”
Burntwood Business: Could you share a bit about your journey into dog grooming?
Danielle Grace: “Certainly! My journey began in hairdressing, then shifted to caregiving for about 11 years. After my grandad passed away, I felt the need for a change and found my calling in dog grooming. I love what I do, it isn’t a job, it’s a passion. I’m now a qualified dog groomer, trained at Pawsome Paws in Burntwood, and it’s been a rewarding change.”
